Sony WF-C710N Announced: Improved noise cancellation and more

While we patiently wait for the next iteration of Sony’s flagship XM wireless earbuds, the company is updating an older noise-cancelling device within their portable audio lineup—let’s welcome the new Sony WF-C710N Truly Wireless Noise Canceling Earbuds.

Features

SONY WF-C710N: ANC
With noise cancellation, the Sony WF-C710N fully immerses users in the music

In tandem with Sony’s Dual Noise Sensor technology and the dual microphones, the WF-C710N earbuds feature improved noise canceling capabilities from its predecessor that enable listeners to be fully immersed in their music.

Ambient Sound mode is also supported, capturing ambient noise all around you for a more natural listening experience. This mode can also be customised on the Sony | Sound Connect app, allowing users to adjust the amount of ambient sound between 20 levels. Plus, there’s also a voice passthrough setting to let users have conversations without removing their earbuds.

For even more convenience, there’s the Adaptive Sound Control function. The earbuds can sense where users are and what they are doing, promptly adjusting the ambient sound settings for the ideal listening experience. It is even smart enough to recognise locations that users frequently visit—such as home, work or the gym—and helps to switch to the sound modes that best fit the environment.

SONY WF-C710N: Indoor Use
The Sony WF-C710N intelligently detects where you are using the earbuds and adjusts itself to provide the best listening experience

The WF-C710N isn’t only good at blocking out sound; it takes in your voice well, too. Thanks to its Precise Voice Pickup Technology and AI machine learning, the earbuds help to suppress ambient noise and optimally control microphones on the outside and inside to ensure that conversations are crystal clear even when it is noisy outside.

As for the sound quality, the WF-C710N is equipped with Sony’s unique 5 mm driver, Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) processing, and well-balanced tuning to produce an audio performance with powerful bass and distinct vocals – suiting most genres of music.

Users can tailor their sound even further through the Sony | Sound Connect app, which features a custom EQ tool to draw out their preferences.

You’ll be able to enjoy the Sony WF-C710N for long listening sessions too, with an included battery life of up to 30 hours with the charging case. And even when the battery is dead, listeners can bring it back to life in a jiffy with quick charging. With just five minutes of charging time, you’ll get 60 minutes of playtime.

Other useful features include multi-point Bluetooth connection and IPX4 water resistance, making it a great fit for both indoor and outdoor use.
