Another year, another Geylang Serai Bazaar! Festivities are at an all-time high, so it can get a little overwhelming when navigating the place. What with the people, the noise and all the different stalls sprawled about every which way, it’s easy to get turned around – but no fear, here’s a mini guide to some S$3 finds so you can beeline your way straight to it!
I know, I know, bazaars like these are pretty taxing on your wallet – trust me, I’ve been there. As mouthwatering as all the food displayed, the burning crater left in your bank account afterwards kills your appetite. However, Geylang Serai Bazaar 2025 has a sustainable S$3 menu for many stalls featured – the only question is, are they enough to keep your tummy from rumbling the whole night? Or will you have to reach for more to satisfy your cravings? Let’s find out!
Chow Down With Only S$3!
The S$3 menus can be hard to spot but as long as you keep an eye out you’ll catch them for sure. Think of it as a fun ‘Where’s Waldo’ style game that saves your wallet!
Maple Syrup Coin

First up, is the Maple Syrup Coin from Happiness In A Box! Remember the viral cheese coin that was all the rage a couple of years ago? Well, it’s located right at one of the entrances of the bazaar – and serves this honeyed treat as well! To be very honest, I was bracing myself for a strange mixture of maple syrup and cheese stuffing (a combination that does not work in my opinion), but thankfully it was just a plain ol’ coin with syrup.
Packaged separately, the maple syrup can be poured over the plain pancake before you go to town on it – be careful though, as the cardboard container it comes in has openings on the bottom. Don’t be like us and create a messy pool of wasted sweetness!
Sink your teeth into the denseness of the coin as the syrup slowly flows and coats the entire surface. While there isn’t any filling inside, the dough is still pretty moist despite how thick it is. Reminiscent of hotcakes from McDonald’s, this is a great snack to have in hand while wandering around the bazaar. While it’s nothing mindblowing, it is a pretty decent eat for the price – just be sure to have it while it is piping hot!
Seaweed Shaker Fries

Next up is a classic – Seaweed Shaker Fries. I grabbed this from Jom Lekor, which was honestly producing some of the most delectable aromas that will have those with the strongest discipline tempted. Even if not for their S$3 menu item, this store is definitely worth checking out!
But I’m getting ahead of myself; let’s see whether these fries are worth the dollars. Served in a paper bag, you’ll find it filled with crinkle-cut fries with the powder separated. Honestly, it’s already not my preferred cut of fries – sue me for having a strong preference – but nonetheless, seaweed shaker fries have always been my favourite. You know the drill: pour the powder in and shake the bag like there’s no tomorrow!
Biting into these fries was nothing new – I mean, they are fries. But this is a snack that you have to absolutely eat hot. Simple, straightforward, it’s hard to really mess up shaker fries – unless, there isn’t enough powder. Unfortunately, that was the case for this bag of fries. If they were fresh from the fryer, the insufficient powder was still tolerable but the longer you have them out, the less palatable they become.
Blue Lemonade Citrus Syrup Selasih

So we’ve had the sweet and the savoury, let’s wash it all down with a drink – and there’s nothing better than a cup of lemonade! With just S$3 you can grab the refreshing Blue Lemonade Citrus Syrup Selasih from BSG in an adorable little 500ml tub.
This violently blue beverage is a welcome relief to the muggy stuffiness of the bazaar. If you get nothing else, you should grab this to survive the humidity. Each and every sip brings about a bright lemony burst that explodes on your tongue, invigorating all your senses. If you’re not the biggest fan of sweet sugary beverages, definitely give the ice in this drink some time to dilute before going in for a slurp though!
Admittedly, the drink tastes a little more artificial than I prefer, but I can see why many would like it. A cooling drink like this is an unmissable staple when wandering around a bustling bazaar like this one! And if citrusy notes are your style, this option is easy on your wallet and will quench your thirst your entire trip.

The verdict? Spend a little more money and it’ll be so much more worth it. There were so many options out there in the bazaar, where if you topped up just a little more, it would’ve been such a huge bang for your buck – there were so many scrumptious goodies for under S$7!
These aren’t all the items that cost S$3, there was the iconic corn on the cob, sinful grilled sausages, fried chicken skin, hotdogs as well as a whole spread of vadai for less than S$3! While some of these are front and centre on the menu at their respective stalls, others are a little more tucked away.
While I’m all for saving money, I’m not sure hunting through all 150 F&B stalls is worth it – in fact, the one I did splurge on ended up being my favourite of the night. Well, what do you think? While it is a miss from me for the budget bites, could you have made the most from S$3?
Either way, be sure to check out Geylang Serai Bazaar for all the enticing treats they have to offer – you’ve probably already seen many of them online, so don’t hesitate to try them out. Keep up to date with their website as well as their Instagram account too!
