Are you a free soul who adores the bay as a brimming place of potential? Or perhaps you’re just not afraid to admit you enjoy long walks on the beach? If you’re either of those and searching for an equally breathtaking meal to complement that ocean view, from 1 March 2025, try an all-new menu against a signature bohemian coastal space at Jypsy One Fullerton or Jypsy Parkland Green!
For the unaware, Jypsy offers a contemporary yet casual approach to Japanese cuisine within the style of a beach house interior. From Wagyu Curry Pizza to Jypsy Salmon Tacos, each of these 10 dishes will offer their own unique flavour profile. Here’s what to expect from them.
A Fresh Feast
Let’s start with the new kids on the block. These dishes, such as the Wagyu Beef Charcoal Sticks, highlight the fresh ingredients and expert techniques Jypsy prides themselves on. Enjoy two chargrilled pieces of thick wagyu with a dip of green ponzu and chilli sauce that’ll both make your eyes water.

Next, the Torched Eel Sushi Roll: six delectable inside-out rolls of rice each containing egg and cucumber, topped with a fleshy slice of eel before finally being garnished with foie gras and truffle sauce. With a single roll, you’ll be amazed by the immediate umami of the unagi, before being delighted further by the myriad of flavours melting in your mouth!
Meanwhile, if you’re craving something lighter, snack on the crispy Robata White Corn Ribs tossed in cajun butter soy and dusted in bonito furikake and enjoy the salty yet savoury crunch of each bite.
For a true taste of the coast to elevate your dining experience, order the Grilled Hokkaido Scallops, served with broccolini, Chitose tomato and garlic miso sauce, for a delicately sweet yet rich seaside treat.

And if you’re looking for something else, just know that these are a glimpse of the tastes Jypsy has to offer, so come and explore the rest of the menu yourself!
Big Portions, Bigger Flavours

Now from the small bites, let’s move onto the big. These dishes are perfect for gatherings—be it a leisurely brunch between family or a lively dinner with friends—and are guaranteed to fill every mouth with a powerful taste.
Consider the Wagyu Curry Pizza: the tender, richly marbled beef is transformed into bulgogi through an intense marinade. Then, it’s layered onto a pizza dough with a vibrant curry and decorated with a generous blanket of mozzarella. In the oven, the flavours of the savoury bulgogi, spicy curry and creamy mozzarella melt and merge into one another, to create a fusion of flavours that harmonise in every slice. Now, that is powerful.
And speaking of creamy, let me introduce the Miso Barramundi Risotto. This rice dish begins with a foundation of rich risotto infused with seaweed, mushrooms and miso. Next, a thick slice of barramundi, prized for its buttery flavour, is placed to complement it. Finally, a dash of fried leeks is garnished atop to provide the perfect sweet note.

This last dish is dedicated to the meat lovers out there. The Robata Kurobuta Pork Chop is the real deal, being perfectly grilled over traditional robata charcoal, giving it a subtle sweetness that differentiates it from regular pork. This pork is served alongside a generous spread of wasabi mashed potatoes, smokey leeks and ssamjang miso, which also all provide an equal sweetness.
However, fret not about this just being a one-note dish, for each side complements the pork with a unique flavour: the wasabi in the mashed potatoes offers a gentle kick, the leeks bring a smoky depth and the ssamjang miso adds a savoury yet spicy element. Thus, the sides aren’t stealing the spotlight from the pork, but rather elevating it to the spotlight it deserves, and that’s the sort of cooking complexity you can expect from Jypsy.

Jypsy Icons
With all this talk about the new faces, I’d like to dedicate this segment to the signature old but gold dishes of Jypsy’s menu. Long-time Jypsy fans will recognise the addicting Nest of Fries, with its crispy shredded potato and combo of white truffle oil, wasabi mayonnaise, and teriyaki and balsamic sauce covering it. Much like their presentation, the flavours are a perfect mix!
They will also remember the Green Tea Soba Salad, which unsurprisingly doesn’t just contain green tea soba, but also puffed rice, tofu, edamame, avocado, kizami nori, wafu onion dressing, chitose tomato and mesclun salad. Refreshing for not just the mouth but the eyes too.
Then there’s finally the Jypsy Salmon Tacos. With the Jypsy name attached to it, you can bet it’ll be mouth-wateringly good! And good it is, featuring sliced salmon tartare sashimi enclosed in a crispy seaweed shell on a bed of avocado and tomato salsa, wasabi mayonnaise, and ikura. Furthermore, every taco is made to order, so savour away at the freshness of flavour as Jypsy intended!
Surprise! New Sake Flight
If you thought that Jypsy would stop at revamping their dishes, then think again! In addition to a brand new menu, Jypsy is also upping their drink game with a premium sake flight. Dubbed The Flight of Phoenix, elevate your dining experience from 1 April 2025 with a set of four sakes directly sourced from Japan.
You’ll first start with the fresh and vibrant Hououbiden Momo Sho, brimming with the pulp and relish of perfectly ripe peaches in every sip. This is then followed by the Hououbiden Mikan Sho, crafted from carefully selected Unshu mandarins to capture the essence of just-picked citrus for a rich, vibrant, and naturally sweet finish. Psst, I heard from a little birdie that both fruit-infused sakes are exclusive to Jypsy, making them a must-try you can’t find anywhere else!
After that, savour the smooth Hououbiden Black Phoenix Junmai Ginjo and full-bodied Hououbiden Junmai Daiginjo, each boasting a refined taste that goes down smoothly. Whichever’s your favourite, just know that this thoughtfully curated selection as a whole pairs beautifully with the savoury dishes and desserts of Jypsy!
