It’s a new dawn for foldable smartphones, and OPPO is at the forefront of it. The company has been teasing its next-generation foldable, and we get to be part of it. That’s right: the OPPO Find N5 will launch in Singapore.
The OPPO Find N5 is the latest addition to an increasingly competitive foldable phone scene, with some seriously impressive features on show. Here is what you need to know about this new foldable.
Thin And Serious Specs

For the unfamiliar, OPPO’s newest foldable smartphone is particularly special because it is the world’s thinnest book-style foldable. When closed, the device measures just 8.93mm thick and it is even thinner when unfolded. In fact, the USB-C port just barely fits into the bottom of the phone. At the same time, the foldable comes in very featherlight at 229g.
Despite how thin and lightweight it is, its durability is not compromised. OPPO proudly touts it as the world’s first IPX9-rated foldable, which makes it resistant to water jets at extreme temperatures. It also comes with an Armour Shield architecture that provides increased structural integrity. Notably, its frame is crafted from a composite of 7000 series aluminium alloy that gives a 30% increase in strength and the nanocrystal glass cover display has 20% better drop resistance.
Another aspect of its durability is its Titanium Flexion Hinge, which is 26% smaller and 36%
more rigid compared to the OPPO Find N5’s predecessor. The hinge cover and wing plate are made of Grade 5 titanium alloy. Meanwhile, the hinge’s load-bearing components are crafted using custom-made Ultra-High Strength Steel, which provides a yield strength of 2000 MPa.
The cover display is decently huge at 6.62 inches but opens up to an even larger 8.12-inch screen. For context, the OPPO Find N5’s unfolded screen is almost as big as Apple’s iPad Mini, though with its thinner bezels, it actually has more screen area.

Additionally, the displays come with a variable 1-120Hz refresh rate, emitting a peak brightness of over 2,000 nits when displaying HDR content.
Inside the OPPO Find N5, it has been equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Specifically, the Hexagon NPU delivers a 45% improvement in AI performance and the second-generation 3nm architecture helps with battery life.
Speaking of battery life, the innovative silicon-carbon battery technology is also included inside the device. The 5,600mAh dual-cell battery boasts more than a full day’s worth of use and supports 80W wired SuperVOOC charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging.
All About The AI Features
Like recent OPPO devices, AI is also a big feature of the OPPO Find N5. Among the AI tools you can use are AI Call Summary (summarise and transcribe calls), AI Assistant for Notes (corrects eros and streamlines content), AI Eraser (removes objects in photos), AI
Clarity Enhance (upgrades low-resolution photos), and AI Unblur (refocuses blurry action shots), among others.
ColorOS 15 also includes Circle to Search with Google, an incredibly useful tool that lets you circle out anything on-screen to search without switching apps. Google Gemini also features as the phone’s AI assistant, letting users do tasks hands-free on the phone such as writing emails, planning events, and more.
Beyond AI, the OPPO Find N5 has one surprising feature up its sleeve – MacOS compatibility. By installing the O+ Connect app on your Apple device, you can now connect the phone with your Mac. Photos, videos and files can be shared across devices while on the same network and the app can even do remote access to help pull files from your computer to your Find N5.
Flagship-level Photography

On the photography front, the OPPO Find N5 has collaborated with Hasselblad to produce its camera system.
Dubbed the Hasselblad Master Camera System, it comes with a 50-megapixel primary camera alongside a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrasonic sensor. The telephoto camera in particular offers tele-macro shooting for the first time on an OPPO device, letting users take super-close pictures of food, flowers, and more whilst delivering a crisp image.
Professionals can eke out even more performance from the camera system with Hasselblad
Master Mode. Here, it allows full manual control and RAW capture; giving users flexibility in how they want to shoot.
