Singapore is home to a wealth of individuals who undertake some truly unique jobs, but how much do we actually know about them? That’s something that we think is worth talking about.
You may have come across our articles (and videos!) where we’ve shared the talents of creatives such as Eugene Eu and Matthias Yong – the pursuit of their passions if you will. But now our spotlight on these individuals in the creative industry is set to be revamped, Passion Pursuits will now be a consistent, bi-weekly series. Here’s what you can expect!
What is Passion Pursuits?
Passion Pursuits is newly invigorated as a short-form documentary video series, celebrating various passions and talents of Singaporeans in the creative industry. That’s right, not every creative had a video feature previously, but now, every profile will have a dedicated article and YouTube episode.
This series highlights the stories of local creatives who’ve carved out their own paths, overcome obstacles, and embraced their craft. From artists to musicians, to fashion designers, and other innovators, the possibilities are endless! Each episode dives into one special profile’s passion through candid and light-hearted conversations that bring out the genuine side of their creative pursuits.
Why did we choose to go on this endeavour? Great question! Like the people we are featuring, we are also passionate about promoting the talents of Singaporeans in the creative industry, believing that their story is worth telling. By exploring and highlighting the diverse pursuits of these individuals, we hope to serve as a platform for Singaporean creatives to gain deserved recognition. And what better time to do it this year, especially with SG60 in our sights?
But Passion Pursuits is more than just the creatives—you, the viewer are part of it as well! If there is a niche interest that you are personally talented at or passionate about, we hope that this series will inspire you to begin your own journey. Who knows? You may become a subject in our series too.
Where can you find these videos? Well, Passion Pursuits now has its very own YouTube channel! And you can expect new episodes to come out every two weeks – so you’ll always have fresh stories to fuel your inspiration.
