River Hongbao
One of Singapore’s most iconic Chinese New Year celebrations is back! Here for its 39th edition River Hongbao presents vibrant traditions, cultural heritage, and modern festivities. Revel in the celebrations at Gardens by the Bay, and gaze at beautiful displays of lanterns and other structures. Enjoy exciting performances, interactive exhibits, amusement rides, and chow down on mouthwatering bites at a bustling Food Street.
Commemorating Singapore’s 60th year of independence, this year’s River Hongbao also displays SG60-themed highlights, making it a must-visit event for families, friends, and everyone seeking to celebrate the Year of the Snake in style. The best part? It’s free admission for all!

Orchids from the Land of Smiles

If you think flowers are just pretty things for you to gift this Valentine’s Day, think again! At Gardens by the Bay this February, Orchids from the Land of Smiles is here to teach you all about how and why orchids are an essential part of Thai culture! This stunning floral display, created in collaboration with the Thai Embassy isn’t just a feast for the eyes, it’s one for the mind as well.
Featuring a dazzling array of over 40 orchid taxa, from the regal Vanda with its cascading aerial roots to the ever-charming Dendrobium, all meticulously arranged to transport you straight to Thailand, this is definitely a can’t-miss!
Surrounding these blooms are spectacular replicas of Thai heritage landmarks, including the Royal Pantheon, a tribute to the kings of the Chakri dynasty, and gilded chedis that sparkle like diamonds in the sky. Oh, and did we mention the yakshas, those mythical creatures from the famous Ramakien epic? They’re standing watch amidst the blooms, injecting a little Thai mythos into Gardens by the Bay! So, come on down to enjoy the sights!

Chingay 2025
We all know that Chingay Parade is one of the biggest annual events in Singapore. And it’s serving just as hard this year – literally! With Singapore celebrating its 60th birthday, Chingay 2025 is transforming into a Food Wonderland, proving that nothing brings people together quite like a good meal.
With food-inspired floats and over 4,000 performers clad in vibrant costumes, this is set to be a feast for the senses. The parade is split into five immersive acts, each a colourful tribute to our shared memories, traditions, and, of course, love for food.
What’s more, PAssionArts Street is back with art installations co-created by local artists and residents, while the Chingay: Road to UNESCO exhibit lets you be part of history by pledging your support for Chingay’s UNESCO nomination.

Though tickets are sold out, interested members of the public may view the parade from public areas next to the F1 Pit Building near the Singapore Flyer. Floating Marvels at Palawan Beach
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to step into a dreamscape where giant sea creatures of all stripes float serenely above the beach, Floating Marvels at Palawan Beach is where your imagination comes to life! This February, the skies above Sentosa transform into a surreal visual feast, with larger-than-life inflatables drifting gracefully overhead.
But the real magic begins when the sun goes down. On Saturdays and Sundays from 25 January to 16 February, the inflatables will light up, turning the skies into a kaleidoscope of dreamy glowing colours! It’s part beachside serenity, part cosmic fairy tale, and entirely mesmerising. Bring a mat, grab a spot on the sand, and let the dazzling light-up show take you somewhere between childlike wonder and existential awe.
The best part? It’s an open-space experience, so feel free to bring along your pets! (on a leash, of course) or make it a family outing. Just remember – no flash photography. This isn’t a nightclub, after all! At the end of the day, Floating Marvels at Palawan Beach is an ethereal escape where the only thing brighter than the inflatables are the memories you’ll take home.

Asia Comics Expo 2025 [ACE Vol 003]
Manga and anime fans, mark your calendars! The Asia Comics Expo (ACE) Vol 003 descends upon the Suntec City Convention Centre this February, the ultimate gathering for comic aficionados, cosplay enthusiasts, and collectable hunters!
In previous years, the event has been graced by other artists such as Mr Oon Choi Liang and Kazumasa Uchio, and this year’s main guest artist is set to be a superstar! Headlining the event is the illustrious Katsuya Terada, affectionately dubbed “Rakugakingu”, or the Doodle King. Renowned for his groundbreaking designs and illustrations, his presence is set to be a huge highlight!
Beyond the star-studded guest list, ACE boasts a huge variety of offerings, with over 200 booths present! From artists unveiling original and fan art to cosplayers offering exclusive prints and photobooks, there’s a treasure trove waiting to be explored at ACE. Singapore Cat Carnival
Here’s another cat event for you and your cats to indulge in! Organised by Clubpets, take part in the Singapore Cat Carnival – the largest cat event in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. Filled with workshops and talks, cat shows and entertainment as well as contests and activities, this is an event you cannot miss as a cat lover.
Of course, these events are the best times to consult specialists for any worries you have about your furbaby. Not to mention treats, food and toys galore! Alongside these features, visitors can also expect vendors that are selling cat-themed pieces like keychains and T-shirts. Organised by Furflr, the same minds behind the Singapore Cat Festival, take your pups out on a day to the beach and run along Palawan Green! Pups and owners alike can look forward to games to get your heart pumping or sit down and pose at the different photo spots – your dog deserves to feel pretty too.
That’s not all, there’s also every pup’s favourite thing – treats! Visitors, remember to grab your free goodie bag filled with dog treats, toys, and other samples, while stocks last. Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore

The time has finally come – Illumination’s Minion Land is officially opening at Universal Studios Singapore on 14 February 2025! This new attraction is bringing rides, live entertainment, and exclusive experiences, all inspired by Despicable Me.
Foodies, you’re in for a treat with Singapore-exclusive Minion-themed bites! The Super Hungry Food Stand has got creations like Minion mantous with chilli crab sauce, a vegan mushroom burger, and an adorable Fluffy-inspired rainbow cheesecake. Over at the Minion Marketplace, fans can shop for exclusive Super Silly Space Killer collectables, limited-edition merch, and more!

Amazônia
The Amazon Rainforest is a world of lush greenery, hidden wonders, and enigmatic wildlife that seems almost mythical to many of us, glimpsed only through documentaries or daydreams. But now, Amazônia brings that incredible world to you.
As a result of a seven-year expedition by world-renowned photographer Sebastião Salgado, this exhibition captures the essence of the rainforest through over 200 striking black-and-white photographs – from its intricate ecosystems to its Indigenous communities.
Yet, this is more than just a visual spectacle. The rainforest’s spirit comes alive through a soundtrack by Jean-Michel Jarre, immersive projections, and tactile plates for the visually impaired. You can even listen to testimonies from Indigenous leaders and get firsthand insights into their connection with the land.
