Steam Winter Sale 2024: Last chance to get these big games on sale

Hey, it’s the new year..but it’s still not too late to get some good deals. As many of you may know, the Steam Winter Sale 2024 is currently running so there is still time to get some games on sale to spare some damage to your wallet.

If you’ve still yet to indulge in the sales fiesta, don’t fret! We’ll be recommending five must-have titles for your Steam library, with the discounts providing even more reason to own them.

God of War Ragnarök

Steam Winter Sale 2024: God of War Ragnarok

The sequel to 2018’s Game of the Year winner God of War, God of War Ragnarök closes the book on the Norse saga of the franchise in stunning fashion. We really enjoyed our time with the game, not just because of its story, but also because of the refinements made to the combat and exploration.

Having just released on Steam in September 2024, the Steam Winter Sale 2024 brings a decent 20% discount to the game. If you’ve been waiting to enter God of War’s Norse era, consider adding this and the original game (which is also heavily discounted) to your cart.

💲Price: S$63.92 (20% discount)

Baldur’s Gate 3

Steam Winter Sale 2024: Baldur's Gate 3

Detailed, dense, and full of imagination – that is exactly what Baldur’s Gate 3 (Game of the Year winner for 2023) is. Based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game, Baldur’s Gate 3 intertwines intriguing storylines with memorable characters whilst giving a large degree of player freedom. Additionally, the game features co-op support, meaning that your friends can party up and join in the fun.

For fans of the tabletop game, it’s almost as if you are seeing it come to life. So go on and start a new adventure with Baldur’s Gate 3, now discounted by 20%—quite the steal considering it offers tons of content to experience.

💲Price: S$55.20 (20% discount)

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Steam Winter Sale 2024: Sekiro

Elden Ring has won many plaudits from critics and gamers alike, but its Soulslike gameplay understandably isn’t for everyone. However, there is another FromSoftware game that may be more right up your alley. Instead of the slow, methodical whittling down of the enemies’ health, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’s combat is more fast-paced – relying on quick reactions for deflecting and parrying alongside the increased verticality from the newly introduced grappling hook.

It remains a challenging game but nonetheless provides a rewarding experience for those who take the time to master their skills. The GOTY edition is currently half-off at the Steam Winter Sale 2024, which includes new boss challenge modes amongst other additions.

💲Price: S$42 (50% discount)

Inscryption

Inscryption may present itself as a typical deck-building game, but there is more to it than meets the eye. The inclusion of roguelike elements introduces a unique flavour to the game and outside of the card game itself, there are puzzles to solve amidst the creepy cabin you are locked in. As you progress through the game, you’ll find twists and turns within the story that will keep you gripped.

On sale by a whopping 60%, the game is an engaging mix of thrills and mystery. And if you own a Steam Deck yourself, it is the perfect companion to have while on the go.

💲Price: S$9 (60% discount)

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Who says sales are only limited to older games? Final Fantasy VII Rebirth may have only just been announced for PC at The Game Awards 2024, but Steam is offering you the chance to get it at a special price before its release on 23 January 2025.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth continues the excellent work from 2020’s Final Fantasy VII Remake, bringing back the exhilarating action of the real-time combat and building upon it with an expansive open world to explore. And the upcoming PC release comes with enhanced visuals, making it the perfect platform to experience the game.

💲Price: S$69.17 (30% discount)
