The Phantom Of The Opera 2025: Revel In The Music Of The Night

With a whole host of renowned shows like Hamilton and Miss Saigon in the past few months, as well as SIX and WICKED in the upcoming months, there has been no shortage of theatre in recent times. Here’s one more to add to the list: the crowd-favourite The Phantom Of The Opera!

Previously presented in 2019, this beloved musical will be back in Singapore in May 2025. With a timeless storyline and enchanting music score, The Phantom Of The Opera is undeniably a classic you cannot miss. Fun fact: the 2019 rendition of the play was actually the first musical I’ve ever watched and my leap into the rabbit hole of theatre and musicals. So the 2025 rendition is definitely on my “To Watch” list!

They are definitely one of my favourite couples

If you don’t know the story of The Phantom Of The Opera or need a little refresher, here’s the TL;DR — a disfigured musical genius known only as the Phantom haunts the abyss of the Paris Opera House. Enchanted by young soprano Christine’s beauty and talent, he lures her to be his protégé and falls fiercely for her. In a classic case of a love triangle, she is deeply in love with Raoul, her childhood friend. However, the Phantom’s obsession with Christine turns the story into one of passion, madness and tragedy.

Watch on as Jonathan Roxmouth and Grace Roberts star as the Phantom and Christine in this critically acclaimed musical. Backing them is a phenomenal cast of 37 international performers as well as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most iconic compositions, including “The Music of the Night”, “The Phantom of the Opera” as well as my personal favourite: the ever so romantic “All I Ask of You“, this production is guaranteed to leave you with an intense case of post-concert depression.

Regarded as one of the most hauntingly beautiful productions in history, The Phantom Of The Opera has been played to over 160 million people in over 145 cities in a multitude of languages. Based on Gaston Leroux’s classic novel Le Fantôme de L’Opéra, the production promises to bring audiences a night of unforgettable entertainment. With a heartwrenching storyline, beautiful costumes and a dazzling set, it is no wonder that The Phantom Of The Opera has become the longest-running show in Broadway history.

What a stunning array of performers
