A New Mall on the Block for Easties: Pasir Ris Mall Opens its Doors!

Buckle up, Pasir Ris! Your neighbourhood just got a major upgrade with the grand opening of Pasir Ris Mall! The brand new Pasir Ris Mall has flung open its doors, and it’s ready to serve up a heaping dose of retail therapy, mouthwatering eats, and wellness wonders. Nestled in the heart of Pasir Ris, literally a stone’s throw away from Pasir Ris MRT station, this mall isn’t just another one to add to the growing list of malls in Singapore. Nay, it’s set to become the bustling heartbeat of the neighbourhood.

With over 150 exciting retail, F&B, and wellness options, as well as amenities such as an upcoming polyclinic, enrichment centres, and a childcare centre, this mall is another step closer to making Pasir Ris a fully-rounded neighbourhood that meets every need. So much awaits you here, but how could we leave you unarmed as you conquer a brand new mall, fresh out of the woodwork? Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to spill the beans.

Location

Location, location, location! Before heading into the gems this mall withholds, we must stress how Pasir Ris Mall couldn’t be more conveniently placed. The area is still pretty confusing due to lots of ongoing construction, but exit the MRT station and walk along the edge of White Sands, a mall that will now be dethroned as the resident mall of Pasir Ris, towards McDonald’s. When you turn right, keep walking straight; the mall will be upon you in no time! Or, if you’re hopeless with directions like me, just follow the masses who will surely lead you there!

The mall is just a short walk away from the upcoming Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub, complete with a new bus interchange (one of the least confusing ones in Singapore, might I add!) and the future Cross Island Line (that will be directly accessible from the mall’s basement). Moreover, the upcoming Central Greenway will offer direct connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists to Pasir Ris Park and Beach in the future. It’s like Pasir Ris is its own little island in Singapore!

Ambience and Layout

As soon as I stepped into the mall, I was impressed. I frequent White Sands and Downtown East, fellow malls in the heart of Pasir Ris, and this one feels nothing like them! It feels new, fresh, and even bougie. The restrooms are spick and span (obviously), but the interior feels fancy.

The layout, however, gets a tad confusing. The mall isn’t the easiest to manoeuvre, especially if it’s your first time there. It doesn’t really have an open concept, where you can see all the stores as you walk around (like Plaza Singapura), so it gets daunting to navigate where you’re going if you’re not mindlessly strolling. Level B1 will be your favourite for all your dining needs, and Level 1 feels pretty sparse, but when you go higher up, every level feels the same. But I’m sure it’s merely the effects of braving a brand-new mall, so that might just be me!

Pasir Ris Mall: Outdoor Park
Play and chill with your loved ones in this gorgeous outdoor area

There’s also a really beautiful outdoor area where you can chill with your family and friends as the breeze blows through your hair, as day turns into night, and as kids play in the nearby playground. It’s this attention to detail that makes the mall such an attention-grabbing place that seems to be calling out our names!

Shopping

When a new mall hits the neighbourhood, a true test of how often you’d be frequenting this place boils down to two things – the shopping and food options. Let’s get to the shopping first, because I’m a girl who loves to shop, and you can count on me to spill the tea.

The main store worth walking into would be UNIQLO. It’s a store that never disappoints. Even if there’s nothing you’re looking for, it can keep you entertained for a pretty long time, fantasising about your next winter wonderland vacation. UNIQLO’s sale sections can get pretty slaytastic, too. There’s also The Underground, an aesthetically stunning, affordable shopping haven for the ladies. But for mainstream shopping, that’s all they’ve got.

I was pretty disappointed. The big girl malls in Pasir Ris are White Sands, Downtown East, and now Pasir Ris Mall. But we don’t see retail giants like H&M, Cotton On, or even MUJI in any of these malls. Downtown East was already home to a fairly huge UNIQLO outlet, so this was such a missed opportunity to make Pasir Ris more exciting for shopping fanatics.

Pasir Ris Mall: Decathlon
Their products are arranged mindfully for a seamless shopping experience!

However, if you’re looking to shop for new glasses, you can run to OWNDAYS and Lenskart. Like we said earlier, Pasir Ris Mall is so close to Pasir Ris Park, making it perfect for cycling and camping rendezvous. So it makes complete sense that you can equip yourself for your adventures at Decathlon and ANTA. Complete with Cold Storage, your home will always be stocked with high-quality groceries from this supermarket.

But if you’re looking to do some serious shopping, I hate to say it, Pasir Ris Mall definitely isn’t the place for you.

Food

And now, the food! The mere mention of this gets our blood pumping and hearts pounding and commands the camaraderie of Singaporeans. My dearest reader, I’m pleased to share that Pasir Ris Mall does not disappoint with its food selection!

Pasir Ris Mall: PIZ’ZA AMORE
A delicious slice of cheesy goodness at PIZ’ZA AMORE!

Indulge in delicious chicken with 4Fingers, nasi lemak that never goes wrong with CRAVE, sushi that satisfies with Genki Sushi, Mexican food from the heart and for the heart with Guzman y Gomez, casual fast-food with McDonald’s and Jollibee, soul-healing ramen with Superakki Ramen, and hearty Italian fare with PIZ’ZA AMORE. And so much more! No mall is complete without a Kopitiam, and this one is equipped with Cantine by Kopitiam (which is fully halal!). Ah, Pasir Ris Mall, you’re a food haven, and we love you for it!

If you’re looking for some sweet treats and drinks to revitalise your day, say hello to Beard Papa’s, Breadtalk, Dunkin’ Donuts, Luckin Coffee, Kopifellas, Tim Hortons, Toast Box, and more! The incredible selection of food echoes the food paradise that Pasir Ris Mall hopes to be! Pasir Risians, we are so jealous.

Pasir Ris Mall: Kopifellas
Doesn’t this look absolutely divine?

Do show some extra love to Kopifellas, a cafe where our Nanyang heritage meets modern cafe fare! They’ve even opened at Times Square in New York City, where countless patrons on the other side of the world get a taste of Singapore in their morning coffee! Along with delicious Singaporean classics like their signature Smoked Duck Lor Mee and Prawn Laksa, get a taste of their SG Kopilicious – brown sugar oat milk kopi with coffee jelly!

Health and Wellness

Transforming Pasir Ris into a hub means making good health and wellness facilities accessible to its residents. So, say hello to your lifesavers during an emergency – our favourite personal care and beauty stores like Guardian, Watsons, and Venus Beauty! Stocked with daily essentials and even drugstore makeup, these stores are crucial in every mall, and Pasir Ris Mall brings them all in one place!

Want to look your best? There are also hair studios, nail salons, and aesthetics stores to ensure you step out of the comforts of Pasir Ris with confidence and grace. While a brand new polyclinic will be hitting Pasir Ris by the end of 2024, the mall has Parkway Shenton Medical Clinic, Sin Kang TCM Clinic, and Twinkle Family Dental Care for any of your health needs!

Pasir Ris Mall: Snap Fitness
Did they just make working out fun? We’re in!

Something all you health buffs will begin frothing at the mouth over, though, is the 24-hour gym, Snap Fitness! The gym is well-equipped with excellent trainers and the latest state-of-the-art gym equipment (that utterly blew me away) across four key fitness training components: Cardio, Strength, Power, and Functional Movement. Pretend you’re taking a stroll through another city as you strut on the treadmill with a screen that immerses you in your workout without letting it feel like one!

I don’t know about you, but I consider this one of the pinnacles of wellness. An exciting family-friendly, date-friendly and hangout-friendly attraction awaits – Timezone! You can spend hours here, losing yourself to the child-like wonder and joy in your heart. Or, if you’re looking to lose yourself to the music and sing and scream your hearts out, check out HaveFun Karaoke for a raging karaoke sing-off

All this and so, so much more await you at Pasir Ris Mall!
