July

Hitsujibungaku

Starting strong, we have the Japanese alt-rock trio Hitsujibungaku! Hailing all the way from Tokyo, the band has been on the scene since 2017 and has amassed a cult following. With Moeka Shiotsuka on vocals and guitar, Yurika Kasai on bass and Hiroa Fukuda on drums, the trio made their way into the hearts of many with the release of their double-single 1999/Ningen Datta in 2019.

For all you avid anime fans, this probably isn’t the first time you’ve heard of Hitsujibungaku, as their music has been featured in popular series such as The Heike Story and Jujutsu Kaisen. The band has played in sold-out arenas and world tours around Japan and is now expanding its influence beyond the country’s borders. 2024 seems to be the band’s year as they journey through their first Asia tour – performing in places like Seoul, Bangkok, and of course, Singapore!

I can practically smell the announcement of another Asia tour! If I were you, I would make sure to watch over their social media accounts and cop those tickets as soon as they drop.

Tilly Birds

Now, this one is a band I personally can attest to. Everyone, please put your hands together and welcome Tilly Birds to the stage! I was lucky enough to catch the band live when they came to Singapore back in July 2023, and it was electric. The band commanded the stage with their amazing presence to the point where it felt like time stood still.

Tilly Birds is a Thai band that has seen incredible growth in their fanbase over the years. They’re responsible for hits like Same Page, Just Being Friendly, and my personal favourite, Until Then. In case I haven’t been clear enough, this concert is a must-go if you’re a fan of Thai music. Even if you think you’re not well-versed in their music, I can assure you that as soon as the song starts to play, you’ll be up on your feet and jumping to the beat.

Wu Bai & China Blue 2024 Rock Live in Singapore

Joining our list of legends coming down to Singapore is Wu Bai & China Blue! I—and many others—were made aware of the band’s existence through the wildly popular Taiwanese drama “Someday or One Day.” The drama—which featured the band’s song, Last Dance—went viral, and so did Wu Bai & China Blue. Thanks to the drama’s popularity, a younger generation was introduced to them, bringing the band back into the spotlight.

Wu Bai has had a long and illustrious career. He holds the esteemed title of Asia’s King of Rock and even has a style of rock coined after him, affectionately known as “Wu-style” rock. Beyond being a great artist, one thing I love about Wu Bai is his humour and refusal to age. He keeps the rock and roll spirit alive with his don’t-give-a-damn attitude and youthful outlook on life—which is so fitting for a rock legend!

SUPER JUNIOR SUPER SHOW SPIN-OFF : Halftime

E.L.Fs, it’s time to dust off your Super Wand because your faves are coming to town! Super Junior is making their way to Singapore as part of their tour, SUPER JUNIOR SUPER SHOW SPIN-OFF: Halftime. This is a band that needs absolutely no introduction, but for those of you who have lived an entire lifetime without hearing of this iconic Korean boyband, allow me to tell you about their legacy.

Super Junior debuted in 2005 and immediately shot to fame with their addictive singles and enigmatic charisma. At their peak, the band was at the forefront of the genre – they were BTS before BTS was even a thing. The veteran group had hits like Sorry Sorry – Answer, Super and SUPERMAN. Personally, their song No Other was a song I had on repeat on my MP3 player (that’s right, MP3 Player) back in Primary School.

Fans of Super Junior will understand just how earth-shattering it is that the band is embarking on a world tour again; it’d be asinine for any E.L.F to let this opportunity slip right through their fingers!

🗓️Date: 14 July 2024
📍Location: Singapore Indoor Stadium, 2 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397691
💲Price: S$208 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 7pm

Given the band’s long history and immense popularity, it is no surprise that almost all of the tickets have sold out. But by the grace of the concert gods, there are still a few CAT 7 and CAT 8 tickets up for grabs. Although the remaining seats do have restricted views, you’d rather attend the concert with a restricted view than not attend it at all.

So, fans of Super Junior, you’ve been blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I implore you not to let this opportunity disappear right before your eyes! Sprint over to the official Ticketmaster website and fight for your chance to see your faves in the flesh.

10CM Asia Tour <10CM Closer to You> in Singapore

If you’re a fan of Korean Dramas, you’ll be happy to hear that 10CM is making an appearance in Singapore as part of his tour, 10CM Closer To You! No matter your favourite Korean Drama, 10CM is probably featured on the OST list.

He’s the singer behind OSTs like Drawer (Our Beloved Summer), Tell Me It’s Not A Dream (Queen of Tears), and My Eyes (Goblin). This powerhouse got his start on South Korea’s indie-pop scene and has since worked with many other mainstream artists, including Seventeen’s Hoshi, Red Velvet’s Joy, and Hyojung from Oh My Girl.

XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The First HOWL”

This dynamic girl group is one I’m so excited to see. Ladies and gents, XG will be gracing us with their presence this July as part of their first world tour, The First Howl! XG is a little bit of a paradox. An all-Japanese girl group that promotes solely in Korea, singing only English songs – it’d be impossible to put them into a box, but that’s the magic of the group if you ask me.

Seeing a group like XG shake up the usual prim and proper aesthetics the rest of their peers boast is refreshing. As much as I love to hear their music every comeback, the looks they turn always leave me floored. And now, thanks to their tour, we have the honour and privilege of seeing these looks in real life!

🗓️Date: 16 July 2024
📍Location: The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre,1 Vista Exchange Green, #04-01, Singapore 138617

Peggy Gou

This one isn’t a concert per se, but as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to include it because of the sheer fame this next performer boasts! Peggy Gou will be playing at Marquee this July – yes, you read that right, THE Peggy Gou!

Peggy Gou is a South Korean artist who is currently based in Berlin, Germany. Her illustrious career has made her one of the world’s most popular Techno DJs – and that is no easy feat. Her career has been riddled with hits like (It Goes Like) Nanana, Starry Night, and I Believe in Love.

She was an underground sensation that shot to global fame thanks to her extraordinary talents and club classics.

I can’t think of a stage more suited for her than Singapore’s grandest club, Marquee! Let the queen of DJs take her rightful place on the throne and watch her turn Marquee into the hottest spot in town.

🗓️Date: 19 July 2024
📍Location: 2 Bayfront Avenue B1-67, Galleria Level, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 018972

If you’re a fan of techno music or just an avid fan of the club scene, you’ll know how big of a deal it is that Peggy Gou is making an appearance in Marquee. And if you’re not acquainted with her work, I suggest getting to know her music more at Marquee and seeing what the hype is all about. Teddy Swims: I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour

As I sat in the passenger seat of my family car, Teddy Swims’ soulful vocals were enough to wrestle my attention away from my phone. And I’m not the only one; his stratospheric single Lose Control hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on the Billboard Global 200, becoming many people’s earworm.

But the Atlanta-born singer-songwriter is heading to Asia, and lucky for us, Singapore is on the list! Teddy Swims: I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour will feature at the Capitol Theatre, and if you’re like me, you must be losing control from all the excitement!

girl in red: Doing It Again

My history with the girl in red runs deep. I was first introduced to her in 2018 with her song summer depression, and my life has never been the same. She’s one of the pioneers of Indie Pop, and I never would’ve thought we’d get the chance to catch her live in Singapore – but I’m so happy I was wrong about this!

She’s coming as part of her girl in red: Doing It Again tour – despite the tour’s name, this is actually her debut performance in Singapore! If I thought 2018 was her year, nothing would’ve prepared me for 2021. That year, she released her full-length album (if I could make it go quiet), and it was a massive hit! Every song on that album has amassed a whopping 10 million streams.

August

Doh Kyung Soo “BLOOM” Tour

When I was 12, I was a huge fan of EXO. They had mini-me wrapped around their finger. I can still remember each member’s “superpower”. Long story short, I’ve been a massive fan for a long time. This is why I’m super stoked to announce that Doh Kyung Soo—an ex-member of EXO—is coming to Singapore for his Fan Concert Tour Bloom!

Since his departure from the group, Kyung Soo has made a name for himself as a soloist. I was shocked to find out that he’s ventured into genres like hip-hop and R&B, but with a voice like his, we’re all hooked on whatever he releases. I think he ages like fine wine – with every year that passes, he just gets bigger and definitely better.

Chris James: Dopamine Overload

This next artist is a force not to be reckoned with, for his portfolio is long and full of highlights! Chris James is making his way on stage for his Dopamine Overload Asia Tour 2024. The singer-songwriter has an equally long list of accolades in both sectors that’ll leave you floored.

As a singer, Chris James has garnered over 12 million monthly listeners and 100 million streams on Spotify alone. His song Not Angry went crazy viral on Douyin with over 5 billion uses! He was even recognised in KKBox’s Top 100 Western Artists list.

In his songwriting career, he has worked on a ton of K-pop hits. I bet you weren’t expecting that, right? He’s worked on hits like Life Goes On (by BTS), Like Crazy (by Jimin) and Devil By The Window (by TomorrowXTogether).

If you’re a fan of Mandopop, this artist requires no formal introduction! Yoga Lin is embarking on his [idol] tour and will be making a stop in Singapore this August. The singer is responsible for heartbreaking hits that have probably accompanied a few of you through some tough breakups.

The Taiwanese singer first burst onto the scene back in 2007 when he participated in One Million Star, a reality singing competition. For the past 17 years, Yoga Lin has propelled himself into the forefront of his genre, releasing hit after hit! He’s one of those artists who eat CDs for breakfast because even when he sings live, he sounds exactly like his records, if not even better!

September

Conan Gray – Found Heaven On Tour

I’ve been a fan of Conan Gray for the longest time. His bedroom covers of Lana Del Rey used to accompany me into the depths of the night as I was burning the midnight oil and mugging for my exams back in Secondary School, so it is with great happiness that I share with you all that Conan Gray is coming back to Singapore for his Found Heaven On Tour!

His covers and original songs launched him into the mainstream, and he’s since gained a fanbase of loyal listeners. With songs like Heather and Maniac, Conan Gray snuck into the hearts of fans internationally thanks to his relatable lyrics that shoot right through your heart. I have never been more serious than when I say: you cannot let this chance slip through your fingers.

🗓️Date: 1 September 2024
📍Location: Singapore Indoor Stadium, 2 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397691
💲Price: S$108 onwards (Excluding booking fees)

 Laufey Bewitched: The Goddess Tour

I’m sure everyone has heard of Laufey before. The singer-songwriter took the internet by storm with her soulful voice and (literal) heartbreaking lyrics. I’d say that Laufey is one of our generation’s most talented jazz musicians.

Laufey became an internet sensation with the release of her debut full-length album, Everything I Know About Love, which housed the breakout hit Valentine. The entire album resonated with fans worldwide with its painfully relatable views on the singer’s romance, providing solace to many listeners.

Now Laufey is making a stop in Singapore on her Bewitched: The Goddes Tour, which has left fans in a frenzy. If the singer has accompanied you through some tough times, you can now cry to her music in real life.

🗓️Date: 4 September 2024
📍Location: Singapore EXPO Hall 7, Singapore 486041
💲Price: S$98 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 8pm

Laufey’s popularity exceeds her, and unfortunately, but not unsurprisingly, all tickets to her show have already sold out. But let’s be honest, this won’t be the last time the artist comes to Singapore – so for now, continue brushing up on your knowledge of Laufey’s music and prepare yourself for her next show!

TOMORROW X TOGETHER ACT : PROMISE Tour

Gen Z Icons TOMORROW X TOGETHER are embarking on their third world tour, and Singapore is joining in on the fun! Their ACT: PROMISE tour has already wowed people in Seoul and the US, so it will be exciting to see them present that same energy when they arrive at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Besides the tour, the group has been super busy this year, releasing their sixth EP, minisode 3: TOMORROW, this April and producing bangers like Deja Vu. Like many of you, I’m excited to experience them when they perform these hits on stage this September!

🗓️Date: 7 September 2024
📍Location: Singapore Indoor Stadium, 2 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397691

HIGHLIGHT [LIGHTS GO ON, AGAIN]

If you need any confirmation that I’m a certified concert junkie, this will do it for you. It is with great pleasure that I announce HIGHLIGHT (formerly known as BEAST) is coming to Singapore – the last stop in their tour, LIGHTS GO ON, AGAIN! Going to this concert has been on my bucket list since I was seven.

The group first debuted in 2009 under the name BEAST and immediately became famous. Just to illustrate how old this band is, I used to scrape whatever allowance I had left just so I could go to Comic Connection to buy their merch (this was back when Comic Connection was still a thing). The band has had a long history with chart-topping tracks and record-breaking success.

After 15 years, the band, now known as HIGHLIGHT, is back to touring and embarking on an Asia tour ending in Singapore. If I haven’t stressed enough, this concert is not to be missed. All you fellow fans of second-generation K-Pop groups will know that it’s not every day our childhood heartthrobs hold a concert in our area.

 🗓️Date: 8 September 2024
📍Location: Singapore EXPO Hall 7, Singapore 486041
💲Price: S$148 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 7pm

If you’re reading this now, you’re in luck! General sales start on 3 July 2024. It’d be totally ridiculous for fans of BEAST to be on the fence about attending the concert. I beg of you to remember that money will always return but you’ll never know when HIGHLIGHT will be coming back to Singapore. For more information, make sure to check out the official Ticketmaster website. See you there!

eaJ when the rain stopped following me

Next up is aeJ, who some of you might recognise from his time in the South Korean rock band Day6 – where he was their former vocalist and lead guitarist. But he has since branched out and debuted as a solo artist.

His solo career started with aeJ releasing music on his YouTube channel and Soundcloud, where he blew up and gained millions of listeners. Since then, he’s collaborated with tons of other artists, like MAX, Rich Brian, and keshi. His career as a soloist, while short, has been met with an overwhelming amount of support—his music videos have millions of views, and his Spotify boasts over three million streams!

🗓️Date: 9 September 2024
📍Location: Capitol Theatre, 17 Stamford Road, S(178907)
💲Price: S$98 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 8pm

Whether you’ve been a fan of his since his time in Day6 or during his solo career, we can all agree that aeJ is an artist who deserves all the love and support we can shower him with! With it coming off the heels of their newly released fifth studio album a beautiful blur, it surely is set up to be a great night.

For the unfamiliar, just go on and listen to their songs like Malibu Nights and ILYSB — the group brings such unpredictable and unique alternative rock tunes that will stay in your head long after the song ends. And now we all get to experience it live!

The Maine have been on the scene for 17 years – has it really been that long? You might’ve heard of them through songs like Black Butterflies and Deja Vu, Bad Behaviour, and Don’t Come Down; the band have literally been the soundtrack to our youth. This time, they’ll be performing for two nights, which means two nights of unforgettable and unimaginable fun that might awaken your inner child!

Blue & Boyzlife Live in Singapore 2024

Ready for a blast from the past? September will see the arrival of Blue and Boyzlife on Singapore’s stage as they perform their hits back to back! It’s two concerts at the price of one.

Blue and Boyzlife are undoubtedly some of the biggest bands of their generations. Blue are a British boy band that burst onto the scene in 2000. During their run, they sold more than 15 million records and collected a bunch of number 1 hits! Boyzlife had been dubbed as a supergroup because of its members – Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden – who were members of Boyzone and Westlife, respectively.

For those of you who enjoy tunes from the 90s and 00s, this is definitely a concert you can’t miss! For one night only, expect to hear iconic songs like All Rise, Picture of You and Swear It Again – it’ll feel like one big Karaoke session but with your favourite bands.

🗓️Date: 28 September 2024
📍Location: Gateway Theatre, 3615 Jalan Bukit Merah, Singapore 159461
💲Price: S$148 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 6pm

This is a monumental moment for fans of both Blue and Boyzlife and you’d never forgive yourself if you miss out on this opportunity! So it’s imperative that you keep checking the official Ticketmaster website and grab those tickets as soon as they drop.

ANNE-MARIE 2024 LIVE IN ASIA

Anne Marie will also be making her way to Singapore in September! She captured the music scene with her unique and striking voice, first gaining attention through collaborations with Rudimental and later achieving a number-one hit on Clean Bandit’s single, Rockabye.

Her debut solo album, Speak Your Mind, became the biggest debut album for 2018 in the UK, filled with anthemic and highly personal songs that connected her with millions. With five UK Top 10 Hits, her unfiltered, honest approach has resonated with fans worldwide.

A Look Beyond the Third Quarter

Olivia Rodrigo GUTS World Tour

We’re getting spoiled by the sheer number of big names making their way to Singapore this quarter—my thoughts and prayers go to your bank account. The next performer on our list is Olivia Rodrigo, who takes the stage for two nights as part of her GUTS World Tour!

Olivia Rodrigo may be young, but she has had an incredibly successful career, with multi-platinum records and three Grammy wins to her name. Both her debut album, SOUR, and her most recent album, GUTS, took the world by storm and solidified her name into the charts. Many credit her as being the hottest artist on the pop scene as she continues to shock the world with her talents—a title I think she most definitely deserves.

🗓️Date: 1 and 2 October 2024
📍Location: Singapore Indoor Stadium, 2 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397691
💲Price: S$108 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 8pm

Given how insanely popular Olivia Rodrigo is, it comes as no surprise that tickets to both nights have all sold out – I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But, I have a feeling that she’ll be back in the next few years to grace us with her presence once more. Keep your fingers crossed, and keep manifesting that she’ll be back soon!

Jay Chou Carnival World Tour

Have you heard the news? Jay Chou is performing for three nights in Singapore under his Carnival World Tour! There’s no way you’ve never heard of Jay Chou before. Dubbed The King of Mandopop, the Taiwanese singer has been on the scene since 2000 and has broken countless records – making him one of the most popular singers in the Chinese music scene.

As the name suggests, the concert follows a vibrant and joyful carnival theme that will take fans on a journey they’ll never forget. You can count on Jay Chou to spoil his loyal fans with a wide range of songs – anything from his classics to his most recent songs. I suggest stocking up on lozenges because there’s no way you’ll have a semblance of a voice left after this one.

📍Location: National Stadium, 1 Stadium Drive, S(397629)

The concert gods have been very benevolent towards us because, by some miracle, there are still a few tickets left for Jay Chou’s concert. I hope you know how rare this is, and you should definitely take it as a sign to snatch up those tickets. For more information, head over to the official Ticketmaster website.

LEE YOUNGJI WORLD TOUR [ALL OR NOTHING]

How about some rap? LEE YOUNGJI, the first female winner of both High School Rapper 3 and Show Me The Money 11, just had her solo concert in Singapore last October, but it seems she wants more! She is returning to Singapore as part of her first-ever world tour—[ALL OR NOTHING].

If you aren’t familiar with LEE YOUNGJI, she came onto the scene through her 2019 debut single, Dark Room, but now she is a recognisable name in the hip-hop and rap space. This year is notable for her, with her debut album, 16 Fantasy, just released last month! I’m sure you will be able to enjoy songs like Small Girl once she arrives again in Singapore this October.

🗓️Date: 19 October 2024
📍Location: Capitol Theatre, 17 Stamford Road, S(178907)
⏰Time: 8pm

This concert was just announced as of writing, so you’ve got a good chance of snagging tickets to her electric concert! Meanwhile, Live Nation members can secure tickets at the Live Nation presale on 11 July at 10am at the Live Nation website. Tate McRae: THINK LATER TOUR

From one IT girl to another, Tate McRae will be next on stage as she makes her way down to Singapore for her THINK LATER Tour! If your TikTok For You Page were anything like mine, you’d know Tate McRae from her song Greedy – the chosen song for every F1 thirst trap.

The tour comes after the release of her album THINK LATER, where every song has more than tens of millions of streams. Of course, the most popular song on the album was Greedy, which currently has over 2.1 billion streams worldwide. I’ve seen videos of Tate McRae covering other artists during her sound check, and I must admit that her voice is angelic. Not only is she a talented singer, she’s a wonderful performer with the ability to captivate an audience with her choreography.

🗓️Date: 31 October 2024
📍Location: The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre,1 Vista Exchange Green, #04-01, Singapore 138617

Dua Lipa – Radical Optimism Tour

This quarter is shaping up to be a real treat for all you pop fans because the next artist on our list is Dua Lipa, as she stops by Singapore for her Radical Optimism Tour.

Dua Lipa is an artist that has seen unparalleled success in her career. She made history as the first female artist to have five songs each surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify – which is no easy feat. She is listed as one of the Top 10 artists on Spotify at just 22 years old! Dua Lipa is an artist who’s always been on everyone’s radar and is constantly keeping fans on their toes with every new release – putting her in a league of her own.

🗓️Date: 5 and 6 November 2024
📍Location: Singapore Indoor Stadium, 2 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397691
💲Price: S$138 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 8pm

Unsurprisingly, there are no tickets left for either night, but if I’ve learnt anything from going to concerts, it’s that artists, especially those as big as Dua Lipa, are sure to be back sooner rather than later. So, keep holding out hope for an announcement, and in the meantime, continue to stream her music in preparation for her next tour!

MATT MALTESE Live in Singapore

I, for one, was super excited to learn that Matt Maltese is coming to Singapore in the early half of November! As soon as I found out, I just knew I’d never forgive myself for missing this opportunity.

Following the release of his latest single, The Earth is a Very Small Dot, the singer announced his tour, with Singapore as one of the many stops. I personally love listening to Matt Maltese – his songs have accompanied me through many quiet nights. His hauntingly comforting vocals and introspective lyrics have solidified him as an artist on my night repeat rotation.

🗓️Date: 13 November 2024
📍Location: University Cultural Centre Ho Bee Auditorium, NUS
💲Price: S$98 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 8pm

His performance promises to be an intimate and captivating experience and it’d be a shame for fans of his to miss out on the chance to catch him live. For more information, head over to the official SISTIC website.

Porter Robinson SMILE! 😀 World Tour

The penultimate artist on our list this quarter is none other than Porter Robinson, as he visits Singapore on his SMILE! 😀 World Tour. He debuted at the young age of 18 and found major success following the debut of his album Worlds.

Since then, Porter Robinson has been smashing records and outdoing himself time after time. With a ton of festival appearances under his belt, this artist is no stranger to entertaining a large crowd, as I’m sure you’ll experience at his concert.

🗓️Date: 27 November 2024
📍Location: The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre,1 Vista Exchange Green, #04-01, Singapore 138617

Cigarettes After Sex

We might be jumping the gun by including Cigarettes After Sex into our concert list, seeing as the band is set to take the stage in 2025, but we’d rather be too ready – especially for a band of this calibre.

The entire country was sent into a frenzy when we found out Cigarettes After Sex was returning to Singapore, and tickets were impossible to get. So, for the lucky few of you who have secured your seat, just know that we’re all immensely jealous. This time, the band is set to play their biggest show to date. They’ll have an arena full of fans singing along to hits like Cry, Sweet and Apocalypse – the vibes will be unmatched.

🗓️Date: 3 February 2025
📍Location: Singapore Indoor Stadium, 2 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397691
💲Price: S$98 onwards (Excluding booking fees)
⏰Time: 8pm

Of course, all tickets to their show have sold out – I know, I’m just as devastated as you are. If you are dying to catch them live, I would suggest contributing to concert tourism and checking out where the next nearest concert will be held. There’s so much time to kill before the actual concert, so if you start planning now, I’m sure you’ll be able to catch them.

Let us know which concerts you’re excited about!

Phew, that’s a really long list full of big names. I’ll say a little prayer for everyone’s wallets and bank accounts because they’re going to take a huge hit after this, but of course, I would say it’s all worth it – every dollar spent is a dollar gone to making new memories.

Attending any of these concerts? Be sure to share your experience with us on our Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok socials!
