This all-new live music series is going to keep laying on the heat to make Orchard Road the hub of entertainment in Singapore.
Featuring some of Singapore’s finest homegrown musicians, the free event follows the TRIFECTA Music Festival held last November and aims to spotlight regional and homegrown musicians through an intimate night of music and good vibes. So picture this: you and your besties sitting under the stars side by side in the TRIFECTA Skate Bowl, the rhythm and beats reverberating around you as you vibe and dance the night away.
Meet the Lineup
Leading the charge is the enchanting pop singer-songwriter Joie Tan, whose journey from YouTube covers to international acclaim serves as a testament to her honeyed vocals and infectious charisma. Since 2008, Joie has been captivating audiences with her covers of popular songs, propelling her from the confines of her bedroom to the international stages of Singapore, New York, London, and Australia. With a passion for storytelling through song, Joie aspires to reach audiences worldwide with her soul-stirring melodies.
Crafting her own signature style, Joie’s talents have earned accolades from industry giants such as Avicii and Kygo. Endorsed in Avicii’s podcast and featured on Kygo’s billboard playlists and Tomorrowland set in 2014, Joie’s musical prowess has resonated with listeners globally.
As she approaches the third anniversary of her debut album, Joie has handpicked five tracks, to strip down and record for an acoustic EP. She invites everyone to join her on an intimate journey at TRIFECTA Backyard Sessions.

Also set to release new music, rapper and producer Mary Sue, renowned for his distinctive sound blending gritty sample loops with introspective lyricism, is set to unveil fresh tracks from his upcoming album, “Voice Memos From A Winter In China,” at the TRIFECTA Backyard Sessions.
With the album scheduled to release soon, anticipate a live rendition of new singles like “Expired Toffee,” showcasing Mary Sue’s trademark fusion of deconstructed beats and raw, confessional bars. Garnering acclaim from platforms such as NME for his 2022 debut album, “KISSES OF LIFE,” Mary Sue’s musical prowess has solidified his status as a rising star in the hip-hop realm, earning him a spot among Bandcamp’s Top 10 Hip Hop Albums of the year.
Headlining this stellar lineup is none other than Akeem Jahat, the avant-garde bilingual hip-hop artist who has captured the hearts of audiences across Southeast Asia. Following the groundbreaking success of his debut mixtape ‘SeluDOPE,’ Akeem Jahat swiftly emerged as one of the era’s most formidable MCs.
