A momentous spectacle awaits audiences as the Chingay parade returns in February 2024. With this year’s theme being “Blossom”, the parade aims to showcase a vibrant performance from various communities.

This year’s edition will see 3,500 performers take to the stage at the F1 Pit Building, alongside 17 Community Floats and the iconic Chingay large floats. New for this year is the display of Singapore’s longest interactive floor projection. Measuring at a massive 230 metres, it will be one of the demonstrations to look out for!

Singapore Airshow 2024

Flying high in February is the Singapore Airshow 2024! With the return of the Weekend@Airshow public days, families and aviation enthusiasts can look forward to a number of exciting aviation-themed activities.

Catch the high-speed precision manoeuvres on show by local and visiting aerobatic flying teams, which will have everyone glued to the skies. There is also the unique opportunity to see the latest commercial and military aircraft on display, including getting to meet the pilots as well!

River Hongbao 2024

It’s the Chinese New Year season, and you know what that means? That’s right, it is the return of River Hongbao, where a vibrant lineup of activities amidst an exciting festive atmosphere greets visitors!

For River Hongbao 2024, Gardens by the Bay transforms into a magical garden locale with the help of more than 20 lantern sets, with the suspended dragon being the largest-ever lantern display on show. Be sure to catch it swirling around the Supertrees! Kids can enjoy the amusement rides and carnival games, while parents may check out the various stage performances at the event.

Spring in the Sea @ S.E.A. Aquarium

Things to Do in Singapore February 2024: Spring in the SEA

S.E.A. Aquarium is bringing the Year of the Dragon celebrations to the sea with their Spring in the Sea event, blending the cultural period with the curiosities of marine exploration.

As part of the festivities, visitors can enjoy the fantastic underwater dragon dance presentation by the divers from the aquarium, hosted daily at 3.30pm. Also, experience an interactive journey as you learn how Chinese greetings intertwine with the characteristics of marine animals like sea dragons. The end of the trip also gets guests up close to S.E.A. Aquarium’s manta ray mascot. Grab a hug or snap a picture with him!

Artbox 2024

Things to Do in Singapore February 2024: Artbox 2024

It’s your last chance to check out Artbox 2024, with the event making its final hurrah on the first weekend of February 2024. For those who missed the opening weekend, you’re in for a treat! Upon entering the Expo halls, you can immediately check out Central Avenue, a space decked out in traffic theming, with a three-level crate display as its spotlight. Meanwhile, the Open Plaza houses several activities like KTV containers, VR booths, and much more!

But a day out isn’t complete without shopping, and Artbox has you covered on that front. There are 140 retail outlets, including vendors from South Korea and Thailand, selling all manner of merchandise, such as clothing, scents, and snacks, among other things. Speaking of snacks, you can also spend your time snacking on the variety of food options available! Over 100 food stalls are ready to serve you good food — from Taiwanese offerings to Korean delights; there will surely be something for everyone.

Singapore Sky Lantern Festival

Ready for a visually spectacular night? The inaugural Singapore Sky Lantern Festival presents an unforgettable showcase of paper lanterns lighting up Sentosa Island as they soar into the night sky. Visitors are invited to pen their wishes into the lanterns before releasing them to the skies.

Before the lantern release, enjoy the afternoon music festival with a guest celebrity DJ blasting out an array of music from House to Pop and Rock. There’s also a wide selection of stalls offering local and international food to satiate your hunger while awaiting the lantern launch.

Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience

Things to Do in Singapore February 2024: Harry Potter Experience

After a massively successful run in the US and the UK, Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience brings its magic to the Asia-Pacific, debuting in Singapore at Sentosa.

Potterheads can check out an ethereal outdoor trail experience inspired by the iconic Forbidden Forest. The trail features mystical creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, such as Hippogriffs, Unicorns, and Nifflers. While there, you can try the famous Butterbeer beverage and get your hands on exclusive merchandise from the films!

Soar into fun @ Universal Studios Singapore 

Things to Do in Singapore February 2024: Soar into Fun USS

Universal Studios Singapore is celebrating Lunar New Year with a couple of pals! Soar into Fun brings DreamWorks Animation’s Po and Master Tigress from Kung Fu Panda, who will headline live shows as they set out to find the next Dragon Warrior to save the Lunar New Year celebrations.

Alongside the decorations, which sees the park space adorned with lanterns inspired by DreamWorks’ films and immersed in cherry blossom trees, visitors can also get the chance to have meet and greets with the Minions, Po and Tigress, and Shrek, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots and Kitty Soft Paws. When night arrives, catch the lively dragon dance with all your favourite characters as they usher in the New Year.

Ushering in Chinese New Year, Marina Bay presents a stunning dragon-themed drone show over six nights. Called “The Legend Of the Dragon Gate“, the show will present the story of the mythical Dragon King to curious eyes over the Marina Bay precinct. With over 1,500 drones involved in the performance, it’s sure to be a great way to start the auspicious season!
