Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2023
It’s that time of year again! Anime Festival Asia is back for its 15th edition, and it’s bigger and better than ever. The three-day festival is not to be missed for anyone interested in Japanese culture – with an array of exhibitions and booths; there won’t be a second you aren’t entertained. For anyone who’s been to the fest before, you’ll know that there’s something interesting happening at every corner.
This year, on top of the cosplayers roaming around the halls, guests will have the chance to meet their favourite Japanese artists and entertainers! The first day will see exciting performances during the highly anticipated AFA x I Love Anisong Concerts. On the second day, fans will get the chance to meet and greet their favourite VTubers during the AFA x hololive Meet. And to close the entire festival, Anime Festival Asia has partnered with SACRA Music to present AFA x SACRA Music Festival – the star-studded lineup of performances by artistes like Flow and ASCA will surely keep you on your feet!

39th vOilah! French Film Festival
The 39th edition of the vOilah! French Film Festival have film lovers reeling. With a whopping 38 titles across a multitude of different genres, visitors will be kept satisfied all month long. Make sure to catch their opening film at Sentosa’s Movie by the Beach, which will be nothing short of a vibe, with five different films that will entertain any age.
This event will span seven different community centres across Singapore. Talk about convenience, am I right? From critically acclaimed movies like The Animal Kingdom to family-friendly titles like Miraculous: Lady Bug and Cat Noir, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Korean Film Festival
Shifting our sights 9378 kilometres from France to South Korea now with the annual Korean Film Festival! This year, the festival presents 13 intriguing titles that will thrill, suspense and move you. Immerse yourself into the genius and creativity in the record-breaking industry with films like Switch and documentaries like Nam June Paik: Moon Is The Oldest TV.

TRIFECTA Launch Festival
TRIFECTA by The Ride Side (TRIFECTA) is sliding into view this November, with four action-packed weeks filled with exciting activities across sports, community, art, and music – from surfing, snow and skateboarding to marketplaces, art exhibitions and art markets; it’s got you covered!
The festival is split into four parts:
- TRIFECTA Launch Week, celebrates the opening of TRIFECTA with activities like balance board open sessions, showcases by pro surfers and snowboarders, and even a special clinic by Sakura Yosozumi, the world’s very first Olympic women’s park skateboarding Gold Medalist!
- This is BS!, centres around the community by hosting community art markets, a preloved market space for boardsport gear and DJ takeovers. They also offer tasty foods and booze, cool beats and anything surf, snow and skate!
- On the Flipside, focuses on art shows and workshops dedicated to allowing participants to explore their creativity! Ranging from linocut carving to breathwork and cold immersion workshops, you’ll leave with a new tool in your tool belt.
- TRIFECTA Music Festival, ending the festival on a high, the last week will present audiences with a showstopping list of both local and international artistes like Shye, Club Mild, Ruel and Phum Viphurit– just to name a few! With three music stages, three ride arenas and three festival grounds, you’ll be entertained every second of the festival!

Singapore Writers Festival 2023
The Singapore Writers Festival is back for another year! This year, audiences will be treated to a plethora of different experiences that will give them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the creative arts. Beyond just writing, the festival also offers musical and theatrical performances that span a myriad of genres, making it fit for people of all ages and backgrounds!
Be prepared to have your brain teased at the festival with exhibitions, workshops, as well as, keynote talks from notable speakers like renowned literary figure Viet Thanh Nguyen! The festival– which will be held at different locations across the country – will leave you inspired and craving more, trust me.

The Marketplace Collective
Also known as T.Cartel Bazaar, The Marketplace Collective needs no introduction, with many of their pop-ups appearing around the country. This month, they’re heading to the Suntec Convention Centre and bringing over 200 lifestyle and maker stalls!
If you aren’t looking to shop, fret not! There are also tons of delicious food and beverage options, photo booths and carnival games to keep you busy. With a booth covering every inch of the venue, it’ll be hard to control your spending!

This one’s for our Halal friends! The Twilight Flea and Feast event returns to the Suntec Convention Centre once again with more mouth-watering treats, curated shopping and interactive performances!
