MPL SG: Season 6 of Regular Season Begins This Weekend!

Ready for another wave of heart-stopping Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) action? The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore (MPL SG) Regular Season returns with Season 6, kicking off soon this weekend!

Happening across four weekends from 9 to 30 September 2023, MPL SG Season 6 sees eight of Singapore’s best MLBB compete for a chance to get the S$100,000 prize pool, as well as the right to represent Singapore at the M5 World Championship.

Among the eight contenders are RSG SG, who will be looking to retain their crown for an unprecedented fourth time. But there will also be new faces in the mix to make things interesting.

The first is Vanguard Esports, a promising lineup filled with local and regional young talent. The other is HomeBois SG. A community favourite from Malaysia, the team is making their Singapore bow armed with veterans Dairy, SUPER JOXXX and Enya, and the introduction of VyrNoCure and pekZ. Both are teams to look forward to in this new season.

Regular Season Format

If you aren’t familiar with how the Regular Season works, it will follow a single round-robin format, with the eight teams competing in Best-of-Three (BO3) matches. All the teams will then move on to the Playoffs, where the top four teams in the Regular Season point rankings will be seeded into the Upper Bracket, while the bottom four teams will be seeded into the Lower Bracket. A double-elimination tournament format awaits them, and the winner will be decided after ten gruelling games.

Alchemy SG and Homebois SG will be kicking it all off on 9 September 2023 at 10am β€” Season 5’s relegated team facing off against the new boys will make for an intriguing match-up to start the season.

Another highlight from Week 1 will be RSG SG’s match against Team Flash at 3pm on the same day. This will be an early grudge match for Team Flash, having lost out to RSG SG in the finals with a score of 4-1. Team Flash will aim to make this game tougher by adding Filipino Jungler, Jaymark “Hadess” Aaron Thomas Lazaro, to their team.
