The electric atmosphere of Formula 1 Night Racing returns with the F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2023 arriving next month in September! —It’s bound to be exciting when the cars arrive on the Marina Bay Street Circuit. But the Singapore GP is more than just racing, with a host of entertainment to catch.

Race Dates and Details
Singapore Grand Prix 2023 will take place from 15 to 17 September 2023. The first two days will be dedicated to practice runs and the qualifying race. The last day will see the actual heart-pumping race kick off under the beautiful nightscape within the city area.
For timings for each of the events, you can check out the table below:

One thing different about this year’s race is that the layout for the Marina Bay Street Circuit has been revised to feature a shorter track. This is because redevelopment works at The Float at Marina Bay are transitioning into the new community and events venue NS Square.
Due to the change, the circuit layout will be reduced to 4.94km and feature only 19 turns, with the racers now undergoing an increased 62 laps for the race.
Watching the Races
Ticketed Viewing Spots
Of course, the Singapore Grand Prix features exhilarating action that should be seen with your own eyes, so how do you go about catching the race?
One of the best ways to view the race is from the grandstands. There are 16 grandstands in total, each bringing its own vantage point for the specific turns located around the track circuit.
The thing about the grandstands is that they can be pretty expensive. For a cheaper alternative, walkabouts are available to catch the races. You’ll be able to freely move around the race area, with strategically located viewing bleachers to catch the cars as they zoom by.
You can choose between two types of walkabouts for this year’s Singapore GP. The Zone 4 Walkabout allows patrons access to rove through Zone 4, while the Premiere Walkabout grants people the freedom to catch the race from all four zones.
If you’re interested in either the grandstand or walkabout options, there are still some available as of the time of writing; here are the ones still on offer, along with their prices.

Free Access Viewing Spots
Should the grandstands and walkabout still prove expensive, you can try your luck at viewing the drivers racing from the nearby public areas instead.
Millenia Walk and Marina Square Link Bridge
Along the path of the link bridge between Millenia Walk and Marina Square, you’ll get a view of the cars as they speed down the road of Turn 6. As space is limited, it is best to arrive early to claim your spot.

Marina Square Roof Garden
Located on the third floor of Marina Square, the roof garden offers a spectacular view of the track along Raffles Avenue, where Turns 15 and 16 are.

Esplanade Roof Terrace
If you’ve seen the recent National Day fireworks from here, you’d be pleased to know that it also is an excellent location to catch the action from F1 Singapore, covering the route of Turn 13 to Turn 15. For extra comfort, bring along a picnic mat and pick a nice spot to settle down as you enjoy the sights of Formula 1 racing.

Helix Bridge
Though you won’t be able to experience as many of the twists and turns from the tracks as before due to the redevelopment works, Helix Bridge still provides a wonderful vantage point to see the cars zooming through the long stretch of Turns 15 and 16.

National Library
The National Library is a little further out than the other spots we shared, but it still can give a great view of the Formula 1 race. Head up to the 12th floor, where you can find a huge window overseeing the racers driving through Esplanade Bridge and onto Raffles Avenue.

Activities
F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2023 also features several race-themed activities that visitors can participate in to fully immerse themselves in the Formula 1 scene. Called the Grand Tour, here are the things that you can experience:
#SingaporeGP Truck
The Singapore GP truck will make its way around Singapore at places like community centres, schools, and shopping malls, as well as heartland locations — bringing activities like F1 racing simulators and free Live F1 Race Screenings. Below are the locations it will be visiting for August 2023.

Pit Lane Experience
The Pit Lane Experience is back on 14 September, allowing 4,000 people to take a walk down the Pit Lane and get up close and see the Formula 1 team garages. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the festivities at the Zone 1 F1 Village before the gates to the Circuit Park are officially open to ticket holders the next day.
If you’d like the chance to try out the experience, you can ballot for two passes over at Klook.
