Paragon Shopping Centre’s New Stores Redefine ‘Treat Yourself’ This June 2023!

Paragon Shopping Centre is a paragon of luxury (see what I did there?). As you stroll through Singapore’s leading luxury lifestyle mall, your head will turn to the many high-end and designer brands like Gucci, Prada, Rolex, and Jimmy Choo. But now, some new kids on the block will not only have your head turning, but will also tempt you to whip out your credit card to treat yourself! Brace yourself (and your bank account) for Avenue On 3, Linda Gallery, Crazy Rich Thai Café and more! Behold; the perfect trip of shopping, dining and art-viewing!

Avenue On 3 is 8000 square feet of indulgence, complete with shopping and coffee-sipping, chocolate-licking paradise! Freshly opened in April, Avenue On 3 is located on the third floor and is here to satisfy your shopping needs and your hunger pangs – from luxury shopping for shoes, bags, accessories and skincare to its own cafe, artisanal chocolatier and a coffee bar that transforms into a champagne bar when day turns into night!

If this doesn’t scream luxury, I don’t know what does.

Begin your shopping experience as you browse through the massive array of footwear and bags, making you feel like a millionaire shopping in the world’s fashion capital, Paris, right here at Paragon!

For footwear, you will find luxurious brands like Loewe, Gianvito Rossi, Giuseppe Zanotti, and so much more. If you’re looking for a new bag to flaunt, you can shop for brands like Valextra, Tom Ford, Lanvin, and many more right here at Avenue On 3. And while you’re there, you don’t want to miss the S$8,200 bag made of plexiglass and 100% calf leather. What’s more, there are only 6 of these bags worldwide, and one of them is right here in our tiny red dot! Spoiler alert: I had to wear gloves just to touch the bag. Needless to say, this bag in a stunning emerald green, like many of the bags you’ll see there, is priceless

This 40-seater cafe has everything you need to satisfy those hunger pangs!

When you’re done browsing and the post-shopping cravings hit, dine at Avenue On 3’s cafe, which serves scrumptious yet nutritious Mediterranean-inspired food. You can’t miss their extensive beverage menu suited for any occasion – from rich coffees and fresh juices to saucy cocktails.

As for the mains, we heard that the vegetarian Refreshing Soba Noodle Salad, the House Smoked Duck Breast Salad and the Baked Norwegian Salmon are highly-raved about! A personal recommendation I’d like to make is their Summer Berry Platter. With a vegan yoghurt base topped with fresh and juicy berries, it’s a perfect breakfast item to start your mornings or a refreshing dish to fuel you for the rest of your day. Oh, and may I add, the dish is absolutely stunning. I’m still dreaming of it every night.

Take an exit from the cafe and turn to your right, and you’ll see Avenue On 3’s coffee bar by day and champagne-and-caviar bar by night!

A chocolate haven!

To end with a sweet dessert, head to Patchi, an artisanal Lebanese chocolatier with chocolates that will melt in your mouth and your heart. If you’re looking for a gorgeous gift basket of chocolates for your friends and family (or yourself!), then their chocolate baskets are yours for the taking.

Check out Avenue On 3’s official website for more deets!

After all this shopping and snacking, it’s time to hit up Linda Gallery on Level 4 to look at some moving Chinese and Southeast Asian art.

From sculptures to paintings, Linda Gallery has a beautiful, thought-provoking collection of art you shouldn’t miss.

The works currently displayed are by husband and wife Jiang Shuo and Wu Shaoxiang. As you step in, you will see many pieces made of newspaper clippings, magazines and metal. The works are so profound and will leave you in deep thought about other parts of the world we don’t have much exposure to – from challenging beauty standards and depicting the deterioration of the environment to conveying the spiritual changes of the Chinese people in the tide of globalisation. You’re free to view and purchase any artworks that call out to you.

How crazy are you feeling?

And finally, to end it all off, head for a wild culinary adventure at Crazy Rich Thai Café! As soon as you step in, choose your ambience. If you’re feeling classy, the all-black interior and furniture mimic the perfect, luxurious dining experience. If you’re feeling like a bougie, ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ sort of meal, the iconic Tiffany-blue interior makes for the best backdrop for your catch-up with friends and family. But if you’re feeling a little adventurous, the comic-style, 2D interior design is yours to take on! It’s my personal favourite too, if I may add!

Crazy Rich Thai Café promises a crazy time with traditional Western & Thai flavours infused with unexpected ingredients and playful twists. But you just can’t leave without trying their array of apothecary drinks! Served in bottles that look like the kind you’d get your cough syrup from the doctor in, complete with fake but adorable “prescription” labels, these are a deconstructed and fresh take on iconic Thai drinks. So bring on your mad scientist skills and concoct your own elixir!

Create your mix of their Daily Dose Iced Lemon Thai Tea!

I tried the Daily Dose Iced Lemon Thai Tea, which was an experience from start to finish. The ice cubes are made with Thai tea, and the bottles it comes with contain lemon juice and sugar syrup, respectively. My complaint is that the ice cubes take some time to melt, so for the most part, I felt like I was just drinking lemon juice. I’d recommend pouring all the sugar syrup to even out the intense tartness of the lemon juice. I also got two cookies resembling “tablets” you take after a meal in a little packet. How adorable!

Among the drinks, I’d also recommend the Pineapple Soda with Basil and Chilli, which was life-changing. I never thought I would enjoy chilli in a drink, but life has a way of surprising you sometimes! This multi-layered sip starts with a well-loved marriage of pineapple and lime before transforming. It leaves you with a shockingly beautiful aftertaste of basil and chilli, with the sweetness from the pineapple still lingering on your palate! I’m in awe. As for their coffees, we heard nothing but good things about their Cloud Meringue Cappuccino and Eggnogg Coffee.

The marriage we never thought we needed – the Mussel Corn Fritter is to die for!

As for the rest of the menu, you just can’t leave without trying the Signature Beef Kway Teow Soup! Their CRAZY RICH Pad Thai was also given the crazy rich twist with oysters, and it is delicious. Try these mains with some sides like the Mussel Corn Fritter and the Crispy Guchai Chive Cake, which have our seal of approval! Then end off with a sweet dessert. We recommend their BBCC dessert, a traditional bubur cha cha with Thai red rubies, nata de coco, attap seed, jackfruit and, of course, coconut, reminiscent of our local chendol. A Thai meal isn’t complete without some Mango Sticky Rice, but here you get a crazy rice crispy twist!

Crazy? Check! Keep up with their Facebook page for all their crazy updates.

But there’s more. Paragon Shopping Centre has more fresh faces that are revved and ready to transform your shopping experience and self-care days!

You can never have too much dessert, especially since Old Seng Choong is joining the Paragon family!

Catch Old Seng Choong, founded by renowned local pastry chef Daniel Tay, where you can get traditional bakes of locally-inspired flavours like Laksa Cookies! The Laksa enthusiast in me is shaking with excitement. Also, find Coast & Roast By Fish & Co., a concept restaurant by Fish & Co., FILA, Daughters Diamonds, Ted Baker and more at Paragon Shopping Centre!

Treat yourself like never before with Paragon Shopping Centre’s upgraded, luxurious shopping experience. Your ‘treat yourself’ days will never be the same with everything you need in one place! For more details about Paragon, stay tuned to their website, Facebook and Instagram pages.
