Focus on what’s important: Jabra unveils their new Elite 5 earbuds for Singapore

For a while now, Jabraโ€™s Elite series of wireless earbuds have always been aimed at fitting the everyday consumer’s needs. Set to continue this trend is the Jabra Elite 5, which was just announced on 5 September 2022.

With products in the Elite range covering uses for calls (Elite 7 Pro), music (Elite 85t) and sports (Elite 7 Active), they have introduced the Elite 5 as the mid-range product in the series. However, it still comes with many features you would still find in the more expensive models.

Coming in two colours, Gold Beige and Titanium Black, the Elite 5 is geared toward calls and music. For calls specifically, it comes with a 6-mic call technology helping to reduce wind noise and provide crystal-clear calls anytime and anywhere.

A fine-tuned 6mm speaker is equipped within the Elite 5, along with the included Qualcomm aptX Audio, AAC and SBC codecs, combined to provide the wearer with brilliant sound. Spotify Tap Playback is also supported, elevating your music listening experience.

The earbuds also come with ANC (Active Noise Cancelling), powered by the Qualcomm QCC3050 Bluetooth SoC, allowing the ANC feature to have more reliable noise cancellation across a wider range of frequencies, no matter how you wear the earbuds. Not only that, but you can switch between HearThrough and ANC with the simple press of a button.

With a compact, comfortable and well-designed fit, the Elite 5 is able to allow the user to wear them for longer periods of time, weighing in at just 5g each. Users can also get seamless connectivity with the earbuds supporting Bluetooth Multipoint, which lets them have two simultaneous connections.

To help with pairing, features such as Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair are also available for the Elite 5, while you can access voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant through the earbuds.

For battery life, the Elite 5 boasts a very commendable 7 hours of playtime with ANC activated and an impressive 28 hours with the wireless charging case. It also has a customisable EQ (Equaliser) with the Jabra Sound+ app, where users can change the bass, treble and vocals to their liking. The earbuds also have a durability rating of IP55 against dust and water.

Coming in at $228, if you are looking for a pair of mid-range wireless earbuds with premium features, the Jabra Elite 5 is certainly one to consider. It is open for preorders from now to 14 September on Jabraโ€™s Lazada and Shopee stores before being officially released for sale from 15 September onwards.
