Don’t be fooled into thinking that there is nothing to do this April! Herewith our Quick Beats for the month, we’ll be going through the events you can experience in Singapore, either by yourself or with friends and family.
Gallery of Secrets: The Lost Lily
The Theatre Practice is partnering with National Gallery Singapore! They present a multi-platform treasure hunt inspired by the gallery’s artworks and history that audiences can enjoy either entirely digitally or as a physical and digital hybrid.
It’s an experience with a treasure hunt narrative that combines the fun puzzle-solving elements of escape rooms with the theatricality of performers from the team at The Theatre Practice. At the end, you can cap it off with a unique cocktail made for the experience by Smoke & Mirrors, located on the rooftop of National Gallery Singapore.
Best of all, there’s the chance to win a prize of S$1,800 in cash. So be sure to complete the hunt as fast as possible!

Easter Wonderland at Jurong Bird Park
Jurong Bird Park is transforming their space into an Easter Wonderland this April with a line-up of Easter-themed activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Their largest walk-in aviary, the Waterfall Aviary, will undergo a makeover to become an Egg-chanted Forest with coloured eggs scattered across the rainforest, which you can go searching for while amongst the free-flying birds. There’s also a special Golden Egg hidden which will grant a special prize of assorted merchandise from the park should you be lucky to find it. While there, you can also see the Scarlet Macaws in action as they gather with their avian keepers for an interactive session with the audience.
Other activities include the Whimsical Wonderland Maze, where you can learn more about our feathered pals as you navigate through the maze.

Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) has recently returned to having full orchestras back on stage after a two-year break. This April is set to continue the arrangement with their lineup of performances.
Violinist Ray Chen will be performing in not one, but two concerts this month. The first is with SSO Chief Conductor Hans Graf as they serenade audiences with the soaring Sibelius Violin Concerto. The second is an intimate performance showcasing Ray’s multi-faceted personality as he performs classics like Bach’s immortal Chaconne to Debussy’s Clair de lune.
French-Georgian piano star Khatia Buniatishvili will also be making an appearance this April as she performs with SSO Principal Guest Conductor Andrew Litton as they bring the likes of Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto to the fore.
