Dreamcore Fusion 15 launches to give affordable, uncompromised performance

Local PC building company Dreamcore, known for crafting custom computer rigs for consumers, has gone beyond making desktop machines. Just last year, they debuted into the mobile computing space and introduced their first laptop, the Dreambook Touch 15. It is a device that emphasises productivity, coming in as a light and portable workstation that could go the distance with its battery life.

Now, Dreamcore is adding to its slate with the launch of its newest laptop machine, the Dreamcore Fusion 15. While their first laptop was aimed squarely at working professionals, the Fusion 15 is one for those who require a little more power in their portable computer.

Borrowing from their PC building roots, the Fusion 15 has several configurations with different specs to fit the varying needs of consumers. The key highlights from the configurations are that you’ll be able to choose whether to equip the laptop with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or an RTX 3070, of which you can partner alongside options between a QHD 165Hz or an FHD 240Hz display. So whether you’re a huge gamer that wants bigger performance or a content creator that requires a better screen, you can get what you need.

Other specs within the laptop include an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H as the CPU, a base 8GB of memory that’s configurable up to 64GB, and 500GB of PCIe 3.0 storage which you can upgrade and equip two NVMe SSDs (one PCIe 3.0 and one PCIe 4.0).

That’s the main specs out of the way, but there are more quirks to be found with the Dreamcore Fusion 15. And we’re lucky to say that we’ve managed to get our hands on the device ahead of its launch to check it out. Let’s have a closer look!

Back in Black (and other colours)

Dreamcore Fusion 15 in the flesh

Taking the Dreamcore Fusion 15 out of its box reveals a device with an exterior coated all-black top to bottom. It certainly differentiates itself from its older laptop sibling, which originally came in a lighter grey tone (now there’s an option for black as well). It is a substantial device as well; measuring in at 15.6-inches and housed in a magnesium-alloy chassis.

That being said, it still comes in reasonably portable at less than 1.94kg; for a laptop that carries such a high-powered dedicated GPU inside it, that is quite surprising.

Several ports surround the laptop. At the back, you can find ports for the Ethernet, HDMI, and Thunderbolt 4, while the sides have USB-A ports and a headphone jack. Most interestingly, there’s also a full-sized SD Card slot available which will no doubt put a smile on the faces of creatives.

A healthy port situation

If you’re one who likes your laptops to stand out a little more visually, the Dreamcore Fusion 15 also has per-key RGB for its keyboard as well as an RGB light bar. There are also a number of effects available to add more visual flair whenever you’re using the device.

The keyboard is also a step-up from what you’ll find in typical laptops. It’s a mechanical implementation that provides a more satisfying typing experience, with Dreamcore stating that it’ll give users 2mm of key travel.

Availability and Pricing

The Dreamcore Fusion 15 is available to purchase right now from the company’s official website.

As part of its launch, the laptop will be specially priced starting at S$2,385, which is S$200 less than what will usually go for. Additionally, there’s up to S$170 in additional discounts and Cashback for those who make their purchases before 28 February 2022. Bundles with SuperSolid monitors are also available for additional discounts.

Stay Tuned for More…
