Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre’s New Exhibitions 

Quick Beats February 2022: One of Us, All of Us Exhibition

Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, promising a year-long celebration to mark the occasion. Part of the celebrations are new exhibitions that you can check out, with two already open for visiting.

The first is the One of Us, All of Us Exhibition. Delving into our Chinese dialect cultures, visitors can view stories, videos, and artefacts to uncover insights into our local culture. The other is Life is Sweet: Ang Ku Kueh Girl. Follow the adventures of Ang Ku Kueh Girl, a character created by Wang Shijia, as she discovers happiness and beauty within the events of her daily life, offering sound morals and life lessons in the process.

Lunar New Year activities at Resorts World Sentosa

Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is bustling with new Lunar New Year activities this month that you can enjoy with your entire family!

At Universal Studios Singapore, not only will you be able to rub shoulders with Master Tigress from Kung Fu Panda as you roam around the park, but you can also take part in a cooking session with their Tang Yuan Workshop. There, you’ll be able to learn to make and mould these delicious treats into auspicious and adorable designs before enjoying them at the end of the session.

The S.E.A. Aquarium presents Spring in the S.E.A.A, where you’ll be able to experience the decorations of bright red lanterns, beautiful oriental patterns and magical fairy lights along the Trail of Fortune. You might be able to witness the aquarium’s five auspicious animals of the year — the sand tiger shark, red lionfish, weedy seadragon, tiger cowrie and alligator gar, too!

Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2022

Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH) is ushering in the Lunar New Year with a series of exciting programmes for both young and old, with both digital and onsite activities available.

One of these programmes by SYSNMH is Touring Temples: Legends and Artforms of Door Gods, where you’ll be able to explore three local Chinese temples (Hong San See, Wak Hai Cheng Bio, and Thian Hock Keng Temple) as you learn about the legendary tales and art of the door gods that reside within.

There’s also a guided tour of the Nian Hua: Of Deities, Guardians and Auspicious Art special exhibition. In this tour, you’ll be delving into the world of nian hua, which are woodblock prints used to decorate the homes of Chinese families for Lunar New Year in the past.

Mount Faber Valentine’s Day Dining Experience

Night at the Museum Experience by Museum of Ice Cream

Museum of Ice Cream is launching their all-new Night at the Museum experience aimed at young adults and couples to enjoy.

Night at the Museum has a series of quests called Cone-nection Cube, a social experience that gets guests to connect and open up to one another. Completing it will see a reward of a celebratory sprinkle shot at the alfresco bar that’s been made exclusively for it. 

Another featured activity is the card game “Where Should We Begin – A Game of Stories”. Participants will journey through 14 uniquely themed installations, receiving cards that encourage them to divulge a little about themselves through introspective and retrospective storytelling.

Redraw Your World Pop-Up Event

Bring the kids to Cartoon Network’s “Redraw Your World” pop-up event at Downtown East and allow them to immerse themselves in their imagination.

There are doodle stations where they can unleash their creativity and crafting sessions to create cute We Baby Bears headbands. They will also be able to catch their favourite Cartoon Network, and Crayola characters live in action, with photo sessions available to capture the moment.
