COMEX Festival 2021

COMEX Festival 2021 Promo

COMEX has been the biggest IT and consumer technology show in Singapore for several years. It returns this year as COMEX Festival 2021, this time as an online and offline experience. While there won’t be a specific location for the event, consumers can still partake physically by visiting the retail stores of participating outlets.

Exhibitors for the festival include Challenger, Aftershock PC, Secretlab, Dell, Omnidesk, Dreamcore, Starhub and Acer, as well as new faces like Microsoft, Creative,

Garmin, Aiwa, Sennheiser, M1 and more. They will also collaborate with Shopee to bring even more promotions during 9.9, so be sure to be on the lookout!

Quick Beats September 2021: Eatbox

Eatbox, the boutique version of the famous pop-up market Artbox Singapore, is getting a permanent location right by Rochor MRT to fulfil everyone’s gastronomical needs.

The creative food hall will feature 20 booths and 4 kiosks with international cuisines and fusion fares with the likes of Butcher The Burger Bar’s Butcher Truffle Eggstarter and Okinawa Onigiri’s freshly made Onigiri-Sandwich. Interactive murals are also installed onsite to update your gram profile, and it gets regularly refreshed every six to eight months for a fresh look!

The SSCC Experience

Quick Beats September 2021: The SSCC Experience

Are you looking to ignite your child’s passion for music? Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir (SSCC) is giving you the opportunity with The SSCC Experience. 

It’s a half-day online programme for children between ages 8 to 12 that takes place across two days, giving them a glimpse of what it is like to be an SSCC chorister. SSCC’s very own conductors will be on hand to teach these budding choristers. They will learn various choral techniques and singing, basic knowledge in music and movement in songs, and vocal music notation and solfeggio. 

There will also be the opportunity to take part in a virtual choir presentation shared on Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO)’s Facebook and YouTube channel.

My Community Festival 2021

Quick Beats September 2021: My Community Festival 2021

My Community Festival 2021 lets people meet people from different cultures and backgrounds within the community through tours and workshops.

Among the programmes available is ‘My Rhyme and Rhythm’, which showcases the performing arts culture in Singapore, like the Flamenco dancers from Flamenco Sin Fronteras. ‘Cuba Gula-Gula Saya’ is another programme new to the festival, bringing you into the homes and communities of 13 home bakers and heritage sweet makers to savour traditional sweets from different countries.

September Activities at Singapore Sports Hub

Quick Beats September 2021: Singapore Sports Hub Stingray

Spend your September holidays with the various activities at Singapore Sports Hub! The kids can enjoy the Camposaur Kids Camp at the Sports Hub Library from 6 to 10 September, where there’s multi-sports activities, team building games, arts and craft workshops, dance fitness programmes, and even a museum visit.

Those slightly older can try the riding waves at Stingray, a half-pipe surfing facility within Splash-N-Surf — all you need to be is 1.2m tall to enjoy it! Shimano Cycling

World at Singapore Sports Hub also offers a free 30 to 45-minute guided tour through interactive exhibits to learn about the history of bicycles and their modern advancements. It is a must-go for cycling enthusiasts!
