Quick Beats: Events for September 2019

September sees the return of many events and music acts. Techies will be excited to know that COMEX 2019 makes a comeback this month, while music enthusiasts can keep an eye out for returning K-pop artists such as Epik High, EXO, and the iconic Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix star-studded concert lineup.

This month, we are also looking forward to a slew of cultural events leading up to the Mid-Autumn Festival and other fun ones like the Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights and Pangdemonium’s Urinetown musical. Let’s get right into it.

31 August to 15 September Sentosa Sandsation: Star Wars Edition

Sentosa Sandstation is back for its third year, this time with a Star Wars edition. Marvel at 20 Star-Wars themed sand sculptures created by renowned sand artists from around the world, or have a go at it yourself at the sand sculpting workshops. Star Wars fanatics can also look forward to free movie screenings and exclusive Star Wars-themed merchandise.

For the first time, this year’s festival invites visitors to join the Memorial Hall in releasing three larger-than-life sky lantern helium balloons.
