Nuseir Yassin of Nas Daily to Mentor Singaporean Content Creators

Popular Internet video blogger Nuseir Yassin, the face of travel series Nas Daily, will be mentoring three Singapore content creators for SMF Ignite, a four-day event that will be part of Singapore Media Festival 2018.

Held this year, SMF Ignite will run from 4 to 7 December 2018, and its focus is “The Convergence of Big Data, AI and Storytelling”.

Yassin will be speaking on topics that includes building digital audiences, digital storytelling for online platforms, and how audience responses have shaped his content.

The Internet star confirmed his attendance of the event in a 17-second video at the press event for Singapore Media Festival on Oct 4.

The Arab-Israeli vlogger will personally select the candidates, and will mentor them in the production of their own one-minute videos during the event. The videos produced by the three candidates will be posted on the social media pages of Singapore Media Festival and its affiliates.

Interested participants can submit a one-minute video to [email protected] by 4 November 2018 to get a chance to meet and work with him. There is no criteria nor specifications for the video submissions; those interested can submit videos of any content.

His video on Singapore, titled ‘The Almost Perfect Country’, has gathered over 12 million views on Facebook.

Organised by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), SMF Ignite gathers emerging media content creators in Singapore and around the region to learn, network, create and collaborate. It spotlights digital trends and new opportunities for Asian creators and storytellers.
