Music is a display of one’s individuality whether it is the listener or the performer. It is an essential part of our life where we indulge in to get away from our hectic lifestyles, and which better way to do that than to get a device that replaces those disturbing white noises during our daily commutes with quality audio?
The Jaybird Freedom 2 overwhelms your hearing senses by giving you the ability to distinguish the different layers of the music. It feels like ecstasy being able to hear all the different highs and lows of the music amalgamating together into one single masterpiece. The bass does not overpower but performs sufficiently without sounding too muddy. Clarity on the Freedom 2 is exceptional; it meticulously picks up every detail and never fails to mesmerise with its superior sound quality.
The design and ergonomics are synonymous with its quality sound. On hand, the build-quality is amazing and the designs are modern and has a luxurious simplistic touch to it. It has a snug fit to provide extra noise cancellation. There are also a variety of ear/wing tips to choose from for better comfort that can be found inside the box.
When it comes to battery life, it lasts around 3 and a half hours which is half an hour short of what was advertised. However, you can boost its battery life by an additional 4 hours with its portable battery pack. Another nifty feature included is the Jaybird app that works like an equalizer to cater to different music needs, which makes it a pair for everyone regardless whether you prefer bass or clarity vice versa.
For an average listener, it undoubtedly surpasses expectations in terms of sound quality for a wireless sport headphone. Along with top notch build quality and sweat and water resistance, durability and longevity of the product is not an issue.
Despite Bluetooth audio devices being considered as a more premium option than regular cabled headsets, S$239 is still stretching a bit off the reasonable side. However, if sound quality is what you are looking for, and you have the budget to spend, this is a Bluetooth headset you would not regret buying.
