Our Song Of The Week isn’t exactly something new. But with recent publicity on Jimmy Kimmel and the chance of catching it live next year… Canadian electronic duo Purity Ring have the DANamic team’s attention with “Begin Again“!
Released as a single off their second studio album “Another Eternity“, the catchy tune is easily an anthem with its capricious juxtaposition of a lively, melodic hook over witch house-inspired synths and bass. It also helps that vocalist Megan James‘ bright, child-like timbre gives the song an unsettling carefree spirit, further fueling the light/dark dichotomy with producer Corin Roddick‘s dark electronic beats.
Most excitingly, Purity Ring are coming to Singapore in 2016! As one of the acts on the Laneway Festival Singapore 2016 lineup, Purity Ring will play The Meadow at Gardens By The Bay on 30 January 2016. Get your tickets through SISTIC here.
