Disclosure ft. Lorde – “Magnets”
LORDE IS BACK. Standing under two blood moons, sulking at a party, having a fit dancing in a black raincoat, killing a man – all classic Lorde. This brilliant, tribal-infused collab and its purr-fect video make “Magnets” our song of the week!
After (doing an excellent job) curating the official soundtrack to “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1“, Lorde’s been rather quiet. While the follow-up to her lauded debut “Pure Heroine” has been in the works since December 2013, the Kiwi been keeping mum about the progress of her sophomore effort, though online rumours place the release date to be 20 May 2016. Lorde gunning for a summer album? Believe that at your own risk.
“Magnets” is Track #6 from UK DJ duo Disclosure’s second studio album “Caracal“, released just last week! The tracklist also boasts collabs with stars like The Weeknd, Gregory Porter, Kwabs, Miguel, and Sam Smith (naturally, after the mega-hit that was/is “Latch“).
